Steam Generation Systems, Inc is based in Austin, Texas, USA and provides professional water treatment consulting services worldwide including the USA, UK, Eastern and Western Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Our customer base are electric power utilities, refineries, oil and gas production facilities.

SGS provides technical solutions for all aspects of industrial water treatment: cooling water, boiler water/steam cycle chemistry, pre-treatment, waste treatment, off-line/on-line equipment internal cleaning, scrubber chemistries, permit analytical requirements, training and fugitive dust suppression. We work to optimize the design, treatment and monitoring of the water/steam chemistry programs and develop and implement strategies to minimize unscheduled outages.

Alexander C. McDonald, Ph.D., Senior Consultant for SGS, has over 25 years experience in design, development and implementation of chemistry programs for the electric utility and oil refining industries. He works at all organization levels including corporate management, operations management and plant operations providing direct technical support for steam/water systems including design, operation, testing, failure analysis, outage prevention and operator training.
